Inserting SMPTE

I feel sure this has been discussed before but I couldn't find it when searching:
How can I add a display of some kind of time display in a lower corner of a track (actually I know how to crop the upper track that would have the time display but don't know where to find a "display" source).

uhhhh....yeah...I suppose that'll work Rob.
I can't believe there are still things in V5 I have never noticed before.

Haven't checked this out as I only noticed it yesterday. There now seems to be a chroma smoothing filter, hmm. Maybe it's always been there but should be very handy for upsampling. Maybe it's been there since V4?
