Insta360 one x workflow or Vegas Pro 17

Dawgbone wrote on 1/15/2021, 8:21 AM

what I am interested in is if there is a template for the Insta 360 one x camera. Or if there is a known workflow to render the 360 video shot with this camera in the 5.7 resolution. I can get everything aligned on the timelign but when I render it doesn't seem to render anything. Does anyone have a workflow that is known to work for this camera? Thanks Tony

I am sorry to say that VEGAS has no template for the Insta 360 x because the clips are not side by side... they are top-bottom, or? You can work with the stitched footage in VEGAS and the 360° plugins, preview and rendering up to 8k.

I have tried using the stitched footage but can not get it to render at 5.7k. What type of workflow do you use? Thanks Tony

@Dawgbone

For rendering, you could use HappyOtterScripts. Here's a 6k render demo I did quite awhile ago. At the time, I didn't have any 8k or 6k footage so I used a still for the demo. Using HOS or Voukoder you can render any frame size so long as it is supported by the encoder.
