Installation of Vegas 19 fails on Windows 11

Has anyone seen this issue? Does anyone have any suggestions or workarounds? I've tried every build of Vegas 19.

The installation freezes here indefinitely and needs to be terminated manually. I've tried the standalone installer and the post installer and running as administrator. This is a fresh build with all updates and the latest drivers.

I've successfully installed Vegas 8 through 18 but 19 refuses to install. All versions are licensed.

Windows 11 Pro 21H2, Vegas 19 (Build 458), Core i9-12900k, GTX 1070 (Studio drivers 472.84)

Bitdefender Total Security was the culprit in this saga. I'm not sure if it was the anti-virus or the firewall as I disabled both but the installation proceeded at ten times the speed and didn't miss a beat.
