Installation on Windows XP Professional

I just received Video Factory 2.0a directly from the factory today. However, it will not load on my XP pro Dell 1.8Mhz 530 workstation.

During installation it locks up about 90% the way through the "registry" process. I can't soft boot the machine or cancel. Have to hard boot. Tried several times with no success. I went to the microsoft site to download the 'windows installer version 2.0' but I discovered that this can't be done since XP already has 2.0 on it.

Can anyone help me?

Thanks

You should have the latest version of VF - VIdeoFactory 2.0c (Build 125). Aircop it was the "c" that confused me. Once I loaded my supplier's VF onto my machine I downloaded the VF 2.0c Upgrade. Unfortunately it was the full VF suite again - not just a patch.

Hey, anyway you can't even get to base camp yet! Yup, do as Jim says, momentarily disable any anti virus stuff. In the future You can always make VF one of the "preferred" s/w programmes that your anti virus s/w is allowed to play with. But for installing funny things happen! Hey that's what anti viral stuff is supposed to do - yup?
