Installed 9.0e .. now no external preview

I just installed 9.0e and just now started to edit with it. For some reason now I can not get my external monitor (Windows Secondary Display) to work (it worked with 9.0d) It is still selected in Prefrences, and if I click on the button to show which monitor is which I get a big number 2 on the proper monitor .. but no matter how I click the icon for external display I get nothing on the screen except my wallpaper.

ADDITIONAL: just for the heck of it .. I just ran my copy of Vegas Moview Studio Platinum 8 .. and my secondary monitor works just fine with that.

FYI for future reference .... I just found out the problem ... I had a "brain cramp" ;-)

I was clicking the wrong icon. Instead of the external monitor icon I was clicking the split ( fx/non-fx ) display icon.

Sigh ... it's tough when you get 'old' ;-)
