I have raised this before and I think it even was fixed in one or two releases of Vegas. But now, with V4c and DVDA1c it's back to square 1 again.
The installer tries to create a Program Files folder, ignoring the fact that on machines with localized Windows that folder exists under another name. The info about the folder's name is recorded in the registry, if your programmers can be bothered to write the proper code to retrieve it.
The problem with having two differently named folders that are supposed to do the same job is that you never know which application will use the one and which will use the other. And I'm afraid what will happen if I try to remove one. (The first thing that happens is that Windows refuses to let it go.) So I stay alerted, changing the install folder to the localized one. That should be unneccessary.
Sonic Foundry, you are international now. Let it show.
