The installers for New Deshaker and VirtualDub do not work properly with Win 7 64 bit and Vegas 9 64 bit. Here is what I did:
Download the following files:
VirtualDub_and_Deshaker.exe (link: VirtualDub)
New Deshaker-8.1.0.2.zip (link: New Deshaker for Sony Vegas 8.1.0.2 Zip)
from http://homepage.ntlworld.com/a.edmiston/deshaker.htm
Run VirtualDub_and_Deshaker.exe and install VirtualDub and Deshaker to the folder C:\VirtualDub\.
Unzip New Deshaker-8.1.0.2.zip and copy the files
New Deshaker.png
New Deshaker.dll.config
New Deshaker.dll
to the folder C:\Program Files\Sony\Vegas Pro 9.0\Script Menu\.
When you first run New Deshaker from the menu Tools>Scripting, specify the locations of the files VirtualDub.exe and Deshaker.vds, both being in C:\VirtualDub\ if you did as above. Also specify the location of a temporary rendering folder.
