Installing Sound Forge on New PC. Error code 14.

Ash-R wrote on 2/28/2022, 4:54 AM

I bought a new PC. I purchased Vegas Pro and I got two activation codes; one for Sony Vegas Pro and Sound Forge. I was able to install Sony vegas by first deactivating it by going into "Service center -- My products" I had to do this in order to install it again on my new PC. I did the same thing for Sound forge and now I am getting error code 14. Every time I enter the Product activation code for Sound forge it says "The serial number you entered is invalid or may apply to another product....". Please help me install this on my new device. I have taken the steps to deactivate this software from the service center as I did for Sony vegas; in order to install it on my new pc. Sony vegas worked and I was able to install it without any problems. So, why am I having problems installing Sound Forge? Also, I am entering the right product activation code given to me by email. PLEASE HELP!!!

The Vegas Help Centre provides the following information about error code 14:

https://www.veg screativesoftware.info/us/support/article/troubleshooting-error-code-14--12/

Whether this applies to Sound Forge Pro (which is not a Vegas product) is not known. Perhaps ask over at Sound Forge's forum at: https://www.magix.info/us/audio-forum/sound-forge-pc/

... one for Sony Vegas Pro ...

BTW, what makes you think that Vegas Pro 19 (you say that you just bought it) is a Sony product? It isn't and hasn't been since Vegas Pro 13 which was released nearly 9 years ago. Please see: https://www.vegascreativesoftware.info/us/forum/sony-vegas-vs-vegas--119881/

Your Sound Forge serial code and your email address are paired. Did you use the email address for Sound Forge that you used when it was previously activated/registered?
