Installing V6, What's The Trick?

Jay Gladwell wrote on 4/18/2005, 3:15 PM

My editing computer isn't connected to the Internet. So I downloaded and install .NET 1.1 and DirectX9c burned them to a CD. I took that CD and installed the items on the editing computer, but I can't get Vegas to finish installing. It keeps asking if I want to connect and download .NET 1.1.

What do I do now?

Thanks!

You need the update for 1.1, not just 1.1, it can be downlaoded from windows update

I downloaded it from the link Spot provided. File = "dotnetfx.exe" is this not the correct one?

Where???

The Service Pack file I had to install in addition to .Net-Framwork is called "NPD1.1sp1-KB867460-X86.exe".

I think what you downloaded is only pure .NET-Framework (which is required too but maybe already on your system), not the SP1.

SP2 of .NET-Framework? - I asume you mean SP2 of Windows XP. Latest version of service pack for .NET-Framework IS SP1 I think. There is no other version offered for .NET-Framework on the Microsoft page.

windowsupdate.com would have done the trick also.
