Installing Vegas - Problem

I am running windows XP

I had installed the trial for vegas 5, before buying myself a hardcopy, now when i go to install said copy, it quits because i "already have a version on my machine"

That being said, I tried to delete everything related to vegas on my machine, but it still is recognizing that I have "the demo" on my machine, even tho i have deleted it.

So im assuming theres a registry flag somewhere, and I really want to use vegas so... any ideas?

Can you install the demo again? The demo is actually the latest revision, unlike the boxed CD you bought, which is probably older. If the demo is running then simply enter the serial number you received to unlock it and it becomes the full version.

It has passed its thirty day trial period, now when it starts up it prompts me to buy, either via download or ordering a box...

Try uninstalling Vegas 5 (Control Panel | Add or Remove Programs). Then download and install the 5.0b update (not the trial version) and enter your serial when prompted.
