Instant Replay...

Is it possible to video a sporting event with a Sony VX2100 and some type of device to have the ability to replay the last play (ex. 20 yard run touchdown), while continuing to record with the VX2100?

One scenario that might work is with a tool like DV Rack, where you are recording along with the cam, but you stop recording in Rack but continue recording on tape. You'd have instant replay, but I'm not sure how you'd get it back out while using the firewire port.

I think i would go for two DV Rack setups and a firewire hub. Feed the signal into both of them simultaneously, then when you want a replay pause one, back it up, and switch it to a firewire cable leading to an output while the other is still recording. That way you always have one ready at any time, hopefully.
