I was unable to get a definitive answer from Sonic Foundry on this as
I recently constructed my computer...They stated that only "limited
testing" on the Athlon had been performed. They also stated that
Vegas did have some PIII instruction set optimization...I went
Pentium.

One other thing to consider, however, is your hardware I/O platform.
A friend of mine just bought an Echo Gina for his Athlon system, only
to find that the Event card DID NOT work with the Athlon...I don't
know if this is universally true, but he couldn't make it happen.
