Intensity Pro with Vegas 9c 64 - and Win7 64 bit

According to actual findings and testings from a user in our German forum Videotreffpunkt (Wenzi) user of Windows 7 and Vegas 9c 64bit can now also use the Intensity Pro again!

Some will remember: the Intensity Pro was supported for Vegas 8 and 9 in the 32 bit version, but up to now not in the 64 bit Version. However, with 9c Sony has added support for the BlackMagic Design DeckLink HD Extreme now.

What you have to do is to update to the latest Intensity Pro driver (3.3.2). Then - similar to earlier solutions - you have to copy the file "BMDDecklinkVideoProperties.dll" to the Vegas main directory, and the file "DecklinkVegas.dll" to the directory "Video Hardware driver" in the Vegas Pro 64 directory.

I do not know if that works also for Vista 64 - please try it!

Enjoy! :)

Vegas 9.0c ships with support for DeckLink HD Extreme cards. You should not copy other dll files into the Vegas Pro 9.0c install directory because they may conflict with the built-in modules.

We have performed extensive testing with DeckLink HD Extreme hardware but not with other Blackmagic Design hardware. However, we do not prevent other hardware from working. Other cards like the Intensity Pro may work for some purposes now and we will add other hardware to our list of supported devices as testing and development continues.
