Internal Panel

Stemming from this post, I am wondering a few things.

To preface, I would like to say that the fixed time on stills was one of the most annoying little things about VF. I am glad to have it fixed. I am wondering if there are any other useful modifications that can be made through this "Internal" panel. Obviously, not for novice use, as I imagine that some major problems could arise from the incorrect modifications.

I guess I am addressing the veterans of this program, who really know its guts and how to make it work, and work well. I'm not sure if this topic is too "taboo" since I'm not sure Sonic Foundry condones it, but I'd still be interested. Thanks!

The only things I remember changing was Show Speed Control=TRUE and Show Trimmer=TRUE. I hardly ever use the trimmer anymore because I’ve just gotten use to trimming on the timeline but the speed control is nice to shuttle the video backward and forward with audio playing to find a particular spot to edit.

Of course, change these at your own risk, your mileage may vary, void where prohibited by law. ;-)

I agree with the two items that JohnnyRoy pointed out. I haven't found anything else in there besides these three items that is useful.

If you do decide to play and end up messing things up badly, you can reset all preferences back to their original state by quitting VideoFactory and then holding down the Ctrl & Shift keys when you start it again. Be warned that this will reset everything, including all the things you wanted changed!

Thanks! This is alot of fun...I found a metronome, and a function that scrolls the timeline while it is playing. I am really quite curious why all these features are so hidden! Anyway, thanks for your help!
