Internal preference: video cache max expected: default 16?

From the internal preferences, there is a setting called "video cache max expected" and it is set default to 16 (I presume it is in GB). Although this would suffice for a lot of users having a video card with 16 GB or less of memory aboard, but what if you have 24 GB of video memory on the card (like in my case a 3090). Would that not give issues - thinking of hangs and crashes, especially if you have enabled Resizable BAR?

I prefer not to tinker with the internal settings, but could a developer shed some light in this case?

Not a user setting so no need for it to be documented.

Thanks, I feel a bit reluctant to tag and bother a dev with such a question, I am going to up the 16 to 24 to match my GPU memory, and see how it goes ...

P.S. I too leave the internal settings alone as much as possible, but in this case...

This has nothing to do with memory...but rather reader threads used by the GPU. I would be very very careful with increasing this number as it could lead to an increased instability in decoding files.
