In your case and with your plans you don't need the DVMC DA2!!! I
have a Panasonic PV-DV600 and same as the 800, it captures all analog
video such as your s-VHS. Simply plug the vcr into the DV800 and
record away. Then when done, you send the captured footage (now in
DV format on the Panasonic) to your PC via any OHCI capture card. I
can also tell you that the Pyro card works extremely well with both
Vegas Video AND the Panasonic DV Camera line. A perfect marriage...

The Pinnacle DV500 also does analog, but if you like stability,
speed, and ease of use, stay away from the Pinnacle DV500 and Adobe
Premiere combo. What a nightmare...

If you do get that Panasonic, make sure you get the 600 or 800, as
the 100, 200, and 400 do not capture analog.

Thanks for the reply. Next question, My video is done in vegas
so to get back to S-vhs do I have to record into the camera then
record from the camera to S-VHS Deck?
