Intro Video Before Menu

When you have introductory video prior to the menu is there a break or pause between it and the background video for the menu? I did an experiment and it shows a break in DVD-A's preview but I haven't burned a DVD yet.

Is there anyway to have the menu text/links fade in when the preview video is finished instead of coming in as a cut?

You can get the menu screen to fade in but it takes a little work:

First create your menu screen and when it's really set in stone take a screen shot. Bring that into your intro video and fade it up there or use whatever transition you prefer (page curl (shudder)!).

I've done it a few times and it works a treat.

Okay, I see how that could work. The details aren't clear but I'll read the link and experiement a bit.
