Having seen the player, playing a range of available content, at the uStuff stand at NAB and reading many posts indicating a HUGE demand for these units it seems consummer HD is finally here. The other good news is that it seems remarkably simple to create basic 'put disk in unit and let it play' content with existing tools and DVD burners.
And what is Sony doing to counter the runaway success of their opposition?
Pretty much what they do best, shooting themselves in the foot. They're threatening their partners who were going to offer dual format players, that must be really driving the nails into the BD coffin.
