IP Adress tracking from this site..

curious to know if anyone knows how to backtrace an IP adress from posts on this site.

I beleive someoen has been trying to do some shifty shinanigans more likely from this site itself, as i havent frequented any other site

I would think that the forum moderators would have access to this information, but I don't think there's any way for the users to do it.

If your hosting site uses CPanel, it has some tracing tools you might use.

There is a site called Whois.com that allows you to track any IP address. For a regular end user, it will mostly tell you what ISP owns the IP address you have and a general geographic location. Nothing really actionable.
