iPhone/video downloads

BobMoyer wrote on 3/6/2017, 11:33 AM

I apologize for this question as I know it is waaaay off topic. I have rendered an .mp4 video of my grandson scoring a soccer goal and uploaded it to youtube---no problems. I sent the unlisted link to him but now he would like to actually download the video clip (only about 30 mbs) to his iPhone6. I uploaded to Dropbox but I could not download the actual file to my iPhone4s. Is there a way to get this file on his phone or does he have to deal with iTunes? Thanks for any help you can give me.

Bob

So far I know, you need to use iTunes in order to transfer anything from PC to iPhone / iPad.

The other alternative way I know is to use Dukto R6:

Thank you for the quick response.  I am not an "Apple" person and I don't have iTunes on any of my computers but I was afraid that was the only answer.  I don't know why he wants it downloaded as he can watch it on youtube and also dropbox.  Thanks again.

You're welcome.

I also not an 'Apple' person, but so far I can tell, iOS devices are very closed environment, so you can't transfer files or browsing folders like you do in Windows OS or Android OS.

That's why I still personally prefer to use Android Phone here. (just bought Asus Zenfone 3 Laser)
