is 10 worth it????

I have 9 trial - expires in 3 days - should I purchase it or try 10 ???
there seem to be a lot of issues with 10 -

does 10 need anything different from 9??
eg C++ 2005 / 2.0 framework
I am a bit low on spance - have 24 GB left -
should be ok for 10 ???
If I try 10
should I wait till 9 expires an uninstall or download 10 first??

Can you try the trial for 10, also, and see which you prefer?

Can you still buy 9 after the trial expires, or will you be forced to buy 10 since 10 is the current version?

The biggest thing with 10 is the ability to have more than 4 video/audio tracks at once. Stability doesn't seem to be an improvement at the moment, though. :)

10 really seems to have issues - but I do like the option of burning directly from timeline - have you done this??? ( without authoring ie re rendering in architect)

The addition to VMS 10 of Slideshow Creator was well worth the value of upgrading from v9 to v10. I know other programs have a more automated way of creating slides shows from pictures, but I'm pretty sure that this is a first for VMS.

In a simple slideshow I did the other night, I saved well over one hour. I love being able to set the total length of the slide show so that it ends when a song ends...

I think it's worth it. I had version 9 before and just bought the upgrade. The New Blue FX alone I think is worth the upgrade. I was interested in the 400 Exclusive music soundtracks though since Cinescore no longer works. Kind of a big disappointment.
Figured the music soundtracks would get around the copyright stuff when making video's and posting online. Well you don't really get 400 music sound tracks. Most are just variations of the same music sound or just shorter. Same with the
1,001 Sound Effects... very limited really.
Still the with the other features it's well worth it to get over Version 9. I haven't had any issues with it running either. I do think it processes slower than Version 9 though.
I'm running a Dell i7 with Vista 64 and 6gd ddr3 ram. Two hard drives.

I have version 9 Platinum w/ Pro pack and recently upgraded to 10 Suite. My thoughts are mixed and I still find myself using 9 at this very moment due to the fact that I can preview my videos WITHOUT any lag. In version 10, it is IMPOSSIBLE for any one to try and edit anything with its jerky, lagging preview pane.

The only good thing about the new version is the 'video stabilizer' and supposedly 'vocal remover'. All the other stuff you can easily upload from various different sources. Of course, the good thing is they also include all newer versions of DVD Architect (5.0) and Sound Forge Audio Studio (10).

You can still get version 9 from Amazon for a good price and wait for a promotion from Sony to 'upgrade' so you won't have to pay fully for it. I have two and it's pretty close to the price of one.

I've upgraded to Vegas Pro 9 from Platinum 9 over a year ago primarily because I needed more tracks, and imho, just the 10 tracks of video, up from only 4, is worth the purchase. Also the other features above, like video stabilizer plug-in, CUDA, etc are added incentives. (;
