I need to buy a new computer and the one i currently looking at is the eMachines 6524 with an AMD Athln +3500 and it comes with Media Center 2005. this looks like a pretty nice computer for $600.

i have read where video editors prefer an Intel HT chip, vs and AMD for faster renderings, does anyone have experience with this??

And how does Media Center 2005 work with VMS Platium?
