Is it possible to rename plugins?

Does anyone know whether it is possible to rename the plugins, so to have them better organised? I see the option in the contextual menu but it is greyed out.

At the moment, no it is not possible. Prior to our move to support OFX, we did allow that, but the functionality to rename has not worked for quite some time now. We probably should remove that menu item.
