Is it worth upgrading from VMS4 to VMS6??

I live in Australia & have Vegas Movie Studio 4 & DVD Architect Studio2 & see the update Vegas 6 is available. Is it worth upgrading???

I have a number of issues with Vegas 4 & wonder if these have been addressed?

Issue 1.
I can't capture through the program as it won't recognise my 6 year old Panasonic Mini DV camera. I have to capture with an old EZDV program & them convert the video files with the Canopus DV file converter program & then load the resulting files into Vegasto begin editing..

Issue 2.
There is a problem in DVDA -when I burn the DVD in the program, the resulting DVD won't play on many DVD players. I have found the only way to overcome this is to prepare the DVD in DVDA & then drag the files into Nero & burn the DVD there. - result - the DVD plays on all players I have tested.

Also what is the platinum 7 program??

Yes,
The biggest help for me was being able to use dual monitors and dock undock windows. Much more flexible. I use a Panasonic dv901d as my capture camera
so I can't help there and I use dvd architect for all my burning and compatability hasn't been a problem. I understand that some users have had compatabiliy issues with media and burners. Platinum movie studio adds support for hd video and 7 is just the newest which also includes ac3 audio which is missing from previous versions.
