Is there a keyboard shortcut to Play/Pause when focus is on FX panel?

I have been doing a lot of work on an old film transfer that requires a lot of shot by shot level and colour correction. I have the FX panel open for a particular clip to make adjustments as monitored on the Preview and Scopes. Then I find it a terrible bind having to move the cursor and click somewhere in the Timeline or Preview screen just so I can Play the clip to see what it looks like without closing the FX panel. I am so used to using an audio editor where pressing the Space bar always starts/pauses the clip playback without having to change the focus from the effects panel to another one.

What I am looking for then, if it is available, is a keyboard shortcut for Play/Pause that will work regardless of where the focus/cursor is on screen.

Thanks very much. F12 does the trick. Didn't know about that shortcut despite being a long time user of Vegas. 😌 Also, it appears, Ctrl+Spacebar. Note to self, must reread Keyboard Shortcut help file list.

You’re welcome. I have that set in my Contiur Shuttle as well, makes editing a lot easier. I do have ALT+0 assigned to a button as well, just in case.
