Is there a Reason I Can't Import Using 8.1?

Just tried to capture HDV via iLINK from my Z1U and for some reason it won't recognize the camera, however when I switch to Vegas 8.0 it recognizes it just fine, what gives! I've also tried rendering with 8.1 which didn't work as well. Am I doing something wrong, or are these just compatibility issues that have to be worked out. I can just stick with 8.0, I guess, though I would have liked the performance enhancement of 64bit processing.Thanks!

There are far too many bugs in 8.1 to justify using it for the performance improvements. I would stick with 8.0c which works great until the next rev of 8.1. The time I've spent dealing with the "forgot how to read m2t files bug" and the "missing timeline bug" and the "rebuilding all audio peaks for no reason" has wiped out any potential for time savings.
