Hey all. I am making a video that has examples of my work. From the main menu a person will click "video" >>>> and then see my videos with thumbnails... fine..... but I have quite a few video examples so I added a "page two"........fine....... The problem comes when I wanted to use the same graphic, the "back" arrow button to navigate to the second page.... I can't seem to get dvda to let me find that graphic for this..... What am I doing wrong?

Thanks

When you create the menu system DVD-A will automatically add what they call navigation buttons (arrows) on its own.

Example: Drop vid in work area. Double click. Add Chapters. Right click, add scene selection menu. If you added four chapters and said two per page, the first menu page would have a forward and back arrow. The second page would only have a back arrow.

To add controls on your own you first need to CREATE the page they are for.

Each template comes with its own style of navigation control. If you like you can also use your images as navigation. Click on a arrow, then in the object tab select custom. Explore other objects on your system or make a new one in a graphics program. Then use the sizing tool. You can of course also use copy and paste, then click on the pasted arrow to select where it navigates to. What a lot of use object to is the choices in the present navigation system are extremely limited. You can link one thumbnail to another for example. All you can do is move forwards and backwards. So you basically get a back/next return to parent choice.
