Is there a way to save a series of pans?

So I'm a wedding photographer who is creating slideshows to deliver to clients. I'm using Sony Vegas Pro 15. I've made a slideshow with pans. Pan up, pan down, pan left, pan right, pan diagonal up, pan diagonal down etc. I used the crop/pan tool to create these pans. I want to create a preset for each pan movement. Can this be done? I'm trying to make the process of creating a slideshow easy, fast and sort of cinematic. I know that I can copy and paste a pan but I want to be able to do it faster and more efficient. Any thoughts? Thanks!

@michael-s5216 : Firstly it’s MAGIX VP15 😏.

My thoughts? Well, what’s inefficient with PEA-ing? What don’t you like? It’s a type of Template? How many of these treatments do you require each week?

There several Scripts and Extensions to do this from your home-grown treatments. But.... you may wanna try this one: “Add as Take”.

OK, my further thoughts are that of Creativity. Maybe this isn’t an issue for your job satisfaction. For me, I’d find it stultifying, dull and samey. What you are doing is to create a Ken Burns effect. Look it up. When done well it’s engaging. Done with thought, humour and emotional engagement can effect the viewer quite spectacularly! After all, aren’t you looking for your next job? Having a boiler-Plate approach, whilst “efficient” wouldn't give you this. 15 years ago I was hired by a wedding videographer primarily as a B-Roller. He then saw the advantage of giving me my head to work-up creative approaches options. Why? He saw the value for his company to have a fresh view on his output.

You did ask for “any thoughts”?

I think VASST has a plugin called “Still Motion” that should do what you are looking for.

I wish I could work out how to save some common mask progressions and position movements similar to what you want from your panning. As a workaround, maybe you can create one single clip with all your panning parameters, select 'copy', then use ctrl+A to select everything else in your project and use the 'paste event attributes' option (or something like that, I'm not at my workstation to check, but if you right click when you have something in the clipboard, you will see it in the menu).

Jay, yeah, I did do that but it was way to time consuming when you have 100 photos to do :) The Still Motion was perfect for what I needed. Your idea to save common mask progressions might be achievable through vasst too. check it out!
