Is there any way to make a color of an image transparent in Vegas?

Is there any way to make a color of an image transparent in Vegas, or must I use a photo imaging program? If so, what formats support transparency?

You can make any color become transparent with Chromakeyer. Just drop it on the event, and pick the color.
