Is there anyway to offset a track's media

I have a sourcefile that I started capturing at 4:00 to get past something that was on the tape. My assistant did NOT go to the 4:00 part to recapture, Is there something I can do to....a) Type in a slip of -4:00, b) slip the entire sourcefile to -4:00?

Other than slip editing, and then syncing the audio...or cutting it where it needs to be cut and rendering to a new track or new file, or going to the Edit Details tab and setting the new "in" point, not sure how else you'd manage that. But wouldn't your assistant have been working from a recapture list, and therefore have had correct T/C?

Ha ha. I haven't thought that far in advance, but now you bring up a good point! I just recently hired an assistant and am learning the ropes know of a cheat sheet somewhere?
