Is this a 9.0 bug?

I have a m2t video clip (captured from a Z1) which keeps getting replaced with another clip that has nothing to with it. It gets replaced in the project media window which also affects any areas that I used it on the timeline. This is driving me crazy because it keeps messing up my edits.

Anyone seen this? I knew I should not have used V9 for a serious project.

If this is the ONLY instance of this happening them I would doubt it is a bug? If you could repro this with OTHER instances of this, that is making it a consistent error, then I'd call out the BugBusters. But that IS what you'd have to do with SONY SCS anyway. If they can't rpro it then all bets are off.

In any event, nasty nasty nasty . . ..

I noticed this in 9b a few times that this was happening. But nothing like this in 9c. I think there was a thread on this somewhere Need to look and see.

I remember this happening tome in Vegas 9b a couple of times, and it seemed I was doing something Vegas did not like, I cant remember what that was at the moment but have not seen it again with 9c. I am looking it seems there was a thread about this somewhere.

Daryl and TheKid, get your veggies together WITH any reference here on the Forum and send this directly to SCS.

As I said, SCS wont move forward unless they know AND you can repro and give them the steps so that they can repro too. Only fair, chaps?

It has happened to me in V4, V6 and V9. Hasn't happened in V8 - that's probably luck. No idea wny it happened - can not repro. My boy, who prefers Linux over windows, says it must be dot-net problem.
May he's right or may be he's not!

Can you delete this clip from the project completely, rename it and then add it back to the project? Looks like Vegas is confused and is pointing to the wrong file.

I deleted the offending file and have not seen the problem... yet. I'm using 9.0c by the way. The now deleted file that was replacing my HDV clip was actually a DV clip rendered out of Vegas 8. Strange...

Thanks, Marc
