I would strongly suggest getting a second hard drive. I recently picked up a Seagate 500GB SATA drive at newegg.com for $119, free shipping. Otherwise though, that sounds fine.

Oh, and congrats on getting XP. For the time being that is a much better choice than Vista.

I have pretty much the same machine.
Same Mobo etc. and yes the on board graphics and sound work very well for me.

The supposedly simple onboard graphics controller even gives a super clear resoloution of 1920x1200 through a 7 metre DVI cable (!!) to my Eizo 24 inch widescreen.

Depending on what and how much you want to edit the 100 GB disk seem too small - as the price difference to a 500 GB mostly is small you should upgrade if you have a large amount og video clips and stills and/or want to use HD now or soon.

AND Please: Do not forget to consider a backup possibility also - could be a netdisk so far away from your PC as possible (because of fire damage)

XP? yes - quite sure - actually: what would be a proper alternative... :-)

I agree, a second hard drive is a "must have" for any video editing machine today. With HDD prices for 320GB drives under $100 it is a no brainer.
