Is this more of a PC issue than DVDAS?

Hi

As some of you folks may know I've been trying to get a BD-R burned with DVDAS to play on a Sony BD player and am still trying.

Up until now my problem has been to merely to get the BD to play but the project always burns to the disc OK.

Normally my screen cuts out after a few minutes of inactivity and comes back on when I move the mouse again. This does not affect any programs running.

However something weird has started to happen tonight when trying to burn the same project. When I check on the progress of the burn and move the mouse, the screen comes back on and almost immediately I get the "Burn completed successfully" notification and the disc tray opens.

However at all, nothing has been burned to the disc apart from Configuration settings so the BD-R then becomes a coaster.

Can anybody suggest what is happening here?

Thanks

One other question.

When I first put the blank disc in the tray I am prompted by Windows t"how do you want to use the disc"

Like a USB Flash Drive or witha CD/DVD player.

I normally hit "Cancel"

Is this correct?

Thanks

This sounds like a PC issue to me.

You didn't post your specs in your profile so we'll have to guess what the problem is.

Does the the Blu-ray burner show up as a drive letter assignment in Windows Explorer?

Sorted!

Some how the power mode had been set such that the PC went to "sleep"after 20 mins after hard drive inactivity (I guess burning doesn't count?)

No idea how this setting changed but I don't suffer form crashes anymore.

Thanks Ken
