Is this Normal? (Newbie)

First, I'm new to Vegas and video editing...

I converted a DVD video of a dive trip a WMV file using Roxio. (The video company said that was okay)

I inserted the video (1.6Gig) into Vegas and everything came in fine.

Here is my question:

When I scroll the timeline right or left, the frame at the end gets repeated. If I stop scrolling, eventualy (about 10 seconds) the proper frames show up.

I don't know if I have a setting wrong, or if that's just the way Vegas works. It makes scrolling a pain since I cant see where to stop.

I hope the question makes sense...

It is normal. You just need to give the thumbnails time to refresh on the timeline. If you immediately place your cursor and click over any portion of the timeline it will show the correct frame. Also, if you scrub (Drag the timeline marker with your mouse) it will show you exactly what is under the cursor.
