I recently edited a multicam project, finished it, expanded the tracks back out from the single multicam track, and started work on coloring. Once I got one scene where I liked it, I was able to copy/paste my color grading onto all the other events on that track using "paste event attributes".
But...
Doing so also pasted over all the mutes on that track, so my second camera never mutes when it is supposed to change tracks now, meaning only my top 2 angles are ever seen in the edit, it never makes it below that second angle.
Crap... That's a lot of re-editing I'm going to have to do.
So, I end up going through that track event by event, muting each one to see if it goes to black or to another angle. If it goes to black, I know that event was intended to be in the final edit. If I mute the event and it shows another camera angle instead, I know I need to leave that event muted because it was not intended to be included in the edit.
Is there a way to write a script that can automate this, to shave hours off of cleaning up the mess dummies like me make when we forget that "paste event attributes" also pastes over the muted tracks in our multicam edit?
