Im trying to create an NTSC file but in seperate streams

Theres the option for seperate streams in the mpeg encoder for PAL, but for NTSC it just says NTSC stream, as opposed to PAL SEPERATE stream.

Are the 2 basically the same thing, one for PAL and one for NTSC??
If now, how can i create a seperate stream NTSC file??

simon

For NTSC, you can:

render the video using the NTSC Video Stream template

and

render the audio as .wav

OR (if you have the pro encoder)

go to custom>system and check "Save as separate elementary streams".

What are the requirements of your authoring app?

No i dont have the pro encoder

The requirements for the Authoring software(Reel DVD) are that its 2 seperate MPEG streams, what would i use for the audio??

Does this mean i have to run the whole file through twice?? once for the NTSC video stream and then again for the Audio?

If you don't have the pro encoder, you should be able to render the audio as .wav- I believe REELDVD will transcode that to the right format (.mpa).

Since you are using a high-end authoring program, you might want to consider upgrading to Vegas 3. You'll be able to open your VF projects in a more capable editing app, and you'll get the pro version of MPEG encoder.
