Is VASST still around?

I've been installing my licensed software onto a new Win 7 machine. My version 4 of Ultimate-S Pro doesn't seem to work with Vegas 9, and I can't find a few VASST freebys I was given along wit earlier Ultaimte-S upgrades (Reelpak, GrafPak), so I've been trying to contact VASST. Over the past 6-8 days, Ive been unsuccessful in getting either emails or voice mails returned. Is VASST still in business?

I got the "Holiday Specials" email from VASST one week ago, so they are still around.

The heart and soul of VASST was involved in a near-fatal skydiving accident this past year. Although Douglas is reportedly doing well, it is understandable that his "24/7" presence to which we have grown accustomed over the years is subject to some constraints.

Add to that his new books produced during his convalescence, and they may be a bit slow getting back to you. You may try contacting user JohnnyRoy through his forum email link and see if he is able to help in the short term.

Good question : i tried to upgrade my Ultimate-S to Pro this weekend with the 25% discount but sofar haven't heard a single word....

So this may just be a case of reduced staffing meets Black Friday volume orders?

We're very much stll in business, we were closed Wed afternoon-Monday morning. We've got quite a log of orders from the weekend, we're racing as fast as we can to get them caught up. We didn't quite expect the volume of business over the weekend that came in.
Apologies to anyone affected by us taking some holiday time off, and we're grateful for the support and patience.

Yep VASST is very much alive. I do a lot of work with them on various stuff, and they are pretty busy right now with the holidays and some new products that they've been working on. I'm sure you will hear back from them very soon. They are normally insanely fast on responding ( sometimes only minutes after the question is sent ), and take extremely good care of their customers.

You might also want to check your spam filter, I remember that they were falsely blacklisted a couple years back by a bunch of ISP's because some schmucks went around reporting them as un-requested spam.

The latest version of all of our software can always be found on the downloads page of our web site. 4.1.2 is the latest version of Ultimate S Pro.

Those are not readily available for download because we sell them as well but we can send registered customers a link when they contact us.

VASST Software support uses the ultimatesupport email address at vasst.com. This is documented in the ReadMe file, a hyper link in the User's Guides, and a hyperlink in the About Box of all of our software. If you were using this email then we would have gotten it. Unfortunately your name is hidden here on the Sony forums so I can't verify.

The ultimatesupport email is monitored every day. I am on the distribution list and I check it even when we're closed because I know that video projects don't take vacations or holidays and when something doesn't work, you need it fixed ASAP. I have answered numerous emails over this past holiday weekend. It is the best way to get support for any software issues.

I will say that sometimes I reply to emails and they are rejected because we are blocked by your ISP. I don't how to fix this. I had this happen this week and I don't know if that was you but I sent the email twice and the second time it seemed to have gone through.

Make sure to send an email to

support at vasst.com

when you wish to contact them instead of using their 'info' email address !

I'll try to call them tomorrow. I didn't even know about a Christmas special, and after reading this thread, I checked my spam folder, and sure enough, there it is. However, it expired 12/1, so I'll see if they'll extend it, by any chance.
