IS VV3 Multi Proccessor Optimized?

I remember reading a post a while back claiming VV3 is multi processor optimized. My tests on a dual Athlon XP board are showing a different story.

I used a 10 sec avi and rendered it to a standard mpeg file. It took 25 secs and used between 47-50% of my processor.

Test 2. Opened up 2 copy's of vv3 and ran the same footage off different partitions at the same time.
It took 26 seconds to process and used 92-95% of my processor.

Well this is kinda indicating that VV3 is not multiprocessor optimized. But on the bright side I can work on 2 projects at once and do 2 renders at once.

Any comments are welcome.

Hmm. I seem to recall reading that Vegas is NOT optimized for dual
processors ... yet. There were some hints that it may be soon though.

Yes, being able to run more than one copy of Vegas at a time is nice. I
can set up several renders to run simultaneously and then go to bed.
They'll all be finished in the morning!

I never saw much more than 50% on my dual procs either. Maybe 55, but nothing near Premiere's 85-90.
