Isn't Vegas Pro turning into one of the best NLEs on the market?

I can't believe how far Vegas Pro has come. And when I open V19 today, in 2021, it seems Magix has done a really great job of bringing it fully back to life and competitive. I remember when it seemed V13 was going to be it, and the program needed a major rewrite to get GPU rendering, and it all just seemed so hopeless, and yet, out of the ashes, Magix saved the program and it is what it is today. I also think the users of Vegas have a lot to do with its success. This forum especially and all the beta testers and really going over the program and bugs with a fine tooth comb. It just kind of blows my mind, and I am very grateful to Magix and everyone here for doing what they've done. Vegas is such a great NLE.

It certainly is my friend. Vegas was at death's door under the rule of Sony..... Thanks for the positive comments. Everything you have mentioned, word for word, is absolutely accurate.

I started with VEGAS Pro 15 and couldn't quite get my head around it, so I spent some time struggling with Corel and Pinnacle, then came back at v16. There was still a learning curve for me at that point, but the great performance made it worthwhile. With v19, I now know that most of the other editors out there are mere toys in comparison. There's no looking back!

FYI, initially published by Sonic Foundry in 1999, Vegas 1.0 was an (audio only) DAW. Vegas 2 included video-editing as a purchase option.
