ISO

What is the easiest or best way to see the files inside the ISO file created in DVDA5? I took a look at the vitual clone drive and it looks like alot of people have had problems with it screwing up there computers and affecting other drives. Have many(any) of you had any issues with it, or can recommend something simple to use. I have also just learned that 7ZIP can extract the files, dont know if true or not.

Thanks

Use Daemon Tools to view an ISO file. Here is a link:

Dameon Tools will mount a virtual drive to view and play an ISO file with out buring. There are various versions and I think the Lite version is still free (?) and may suit your needs.

Or you can burn an ISO image to a disc and use any explorer program to view the contents of the disc. I think there are free burining programs that will burn an ISO file. I use Nero Burning Rom ($) and it works great for ISO files.

Thanks Hyp -

I came across Daemon as well, looks like a nice product, I ultimately decided to just upgrade my Power2Go product to V7, it now allows you to open the ISO and other images, which will work, of course twenty bucks later. Thanks for your help.

I use a program called Elby CloneDrive - Treats the ISO as just another drive.

Works great and it's free!

I have used Virtual Clone Drive quite a few times and never had any bad effects.

Probably not a big issue for people here, but Virtual Clone Drive and Elby Clone Drive messes things up for Adobe Encore. Encore won't start after it has been installed, and uninstalling won't fix this.
