ISO recording to disk

Anyone have any easy solutions for recrding a 3 cam live show with ISO direct to disk. We need to record the live mix from the switcher and the three ISO feeds of each studio camera. I want to eliminate the step to VTR's/Capture and go right to hard disk with four AVI files to edit later. The first thing I can think of is maybe using low cost computers (or laptops) and I/O cards. It is not HD or HDV, but I would like to retain quality if the budget allows buying good I/O cards and RAIDs to maintain SD. An alternative on the low cost side is to maybe use Canopus (or similar) converters and Firewire drives. Then post edit using the four FW drives in DV.

I am wondering if there is some kind of direct to disk soulutions out there to even eliminate the extra computers and I/O cards. Low cost DDR's in other words that can capture on the fly an hour or so.

sort of. We don't really need portable eng/efp since it is a studio with studio cams and a small control room. They do the shows live to satellite and we are considering to go live to tape with 3 ISOs and fix mistakes and tighten up in post. The Laird unit is DV and I was hoping to stay SD. These DV units are somewhat costly. I also do not see any video and audio inputs for A/D. Just researching now. I did find a lot of DDRs on Googling, but many are high priced and many are mpg and we need AVI or MOV.

I am still considering three small computers (along witgh the fourth computer for editing) with I/O cards and removable HD's to keep shows archived. Once shows are finalized and aired, then reuse the HD trays for new shows. Some sort of start/stop of all four recorders at once would be nice with a slate/cue of some sort so loading into Vegas will be quick to sync.
