"*.Isom" Video Codec? (.mp4-file)

I make anime-music videos, and most of my material is in this wierd codec called : "*.Isom". It is a .Mp4 - based format. My issue is about if someone knows what kind of codec this is. And i also want to know if someone's got any tips about Converters. Vegas does now support this video-format(codec), and I really need any help I can get! Does anyone know if there is a way to covert this into regular .mp4 files, or anything that Vegas supportes?

I've googled this a lot without any succes, and asked the Sony staff themselves, but they had no clue about what I could do.

A Google search seems to indicate that this is a propriety MP4 codec. That means that it's an MP4, but one which doesn't use any standard compression system -- so it will very likely present a number of challenges when you try to run it through pretty much any editing program.

If this is the only output option for this animation program, you may want to look into another animation program. The output is very likely to end up being more trouble to work with than it's worth.
