I apologize for my lack of knowledge in advance. I just play around with this stuff as a hobby and alot of my knowledge is like swiss cheese. I recently upgraded from Sony Vegas Movie Studio Plat 9 (my old computer) to 12 (my new computer). My old computer ran Win Xp. I have lots of unfinished projects that I want to continue on with SVMS 12 but I am running into some issues. Some of my old projects are leaving .mov and .avi files off line. I've been looking around for solutions but I am having a hard time finding any that relate to my particular situation. My new computer is Win 8. I assume that the .mov files are quicktime and I would need a codec installed to make them work. Just a guess. Don't know about the AVI. files. I really hope there is some kind of solution, I did lots of editing in these projects. Help would be greatly appreciated.
