Its says serial number wrong it is not

I got movie studio nine way back cant remember. when i try to install it ask for information then says error internet connection. I am aware they sold that so i have to come here. So i went to product registration and entered the correct serial number. It says the serial number is incorrect which it is not. Its on the sony card within the box which says product serial number card. Can someone please help i need to get it on my new laptop!

If your Movie Studio is from the Sony era (i.e. pre 2016), Sony recently shut down the server that enabled activation. Fortunately, MAGIX have provided an alternative method to enable registration as per the following post in the forum's News section:
