The acc format is a propritary Apple format. I don't know if their tools can use it yet...

The only way I can think of making it work is this...

1. Using iTunes, convert your acc files to an audio CD.
2. Using some type of ripping software, grab the song off the newly created audio CD and store it either as a MP3 or wav file.

But be warned, the acc format is a compressed format, so if you pull off the audio CD into another compressed format (MP3) you will be losing sound quality.

MovieStudio can extract from the CD so there's no need for another extraction program. Also, pulling the file off the CD will be no worse quality than if it could be used in native acc format. The quality loss occured when it was converted into acc; there will be no further loss by uncompressing it through CD -> WAV.

I have a Creative Technology Ltd program called Creative PlayCenter 2 which came installed with Soundblaster Live. Playcenter's recorder can copy music from iTunes to a .wav file. iTunes can reformat .wav files to .mp3 if I want to reduce the file size for use in my videos.

I used iTunes to make a CD and was able to import the songs into ms. They were imported as .wav This is only a hobby for me so I shouldn't have to worry about song rights, only friends and family see my work. Although if I get any better at this I may buy Vegas+DVD, open a business and pay the song rights. It sure is fun and would make a good part time job. Maybe hire art student graduates to do the work.

Naahh, stick with it as a hobby.
