I don't do IzoRX from with Vegas anymore. I have Vegas use it as my Preferred Audio Editor - which Sound Forge WAS.

Two things I want improved are:

1] IzoRx Plugin usage - I am sorry but using the plug option is for me like flying blind.

2] Scrubbing within IzoRx. I keep using my Vegas scrub options and I am STILL reaching for my Contour Shuttle Pro expecting IzoRx to respond - Sad huh?

More than one IzoRx user has confirmed what you do - go outside of Vegas to get the work done.

Having said THAT, IzoRx is pure VooDoo!!

When you take your audio out of Vegas, do you just render the audio track as a .wav file? When doing this is there any concern with the audio quality decreasing?

You are right about iZotope being a great tool. I just have to figure out the best way to use it.

Thanks,
Joe

I am not aware that taking/doing work on my material EXO Vegas would make a difference in quality? I would have thought that what I CAN do within Vegas is using the very same engine, or whatever those clever programmers call it, from OUTSIDE of Vegas? I can't imagine why there WOULD be a difference? Maybe a digitally-aware guru would care to comment?

Proof of desert? I don't hear a difference. The best way to use it? I do my IzoRx work outside, using the Preferred Audio Editor preference setup > Opens in IzoRx ? Do my IzoRx work > Exit and that forces a SAVE > once back IN Vegas a TAKE2 is automatically there.

One proviso though. Using IzoRx this way and you DON'T save on exit you WILL get a Take back in Vegas - well I do! And that's even though I haven't saved from within Vegas. I think that the Preferred Audio Editor selection fires a Take2, regardless!!! - I am not sure if this is also the case with SF as preferred Audio Editor. If it ISN'T then that would be a call to SONY or Izotope or both!
