I set a jacket picture in the project properties and then prepared files. The resulting JACKET_P files (large, medium and small) are in PAL resolution even though my project is NTSC 720x480. Is this a bug?
The jacket picture will not display on my PC nor on a standalone Denon player.
Confirmed. Just tried with DVD Architect Pro 5.0 and the resulting files are named as if they are NTSC (with the number "5" in them -- PAL versions should have the number "6"), but Vegas reads them as PAL. Tried DVD Architect 3.0, and it created them correctly.
Report it to Sony. In the meantime, shouldn't be difficult to prepare the project, use Vegas or other app to resize the resulting files and copy over the incorrect ones. And then burn the prepared files to DVD. (Not sure if the framerate matters, given that it's only one frame.)
As for them not displaying at all on your PC or player, can you confirm that both your standalone player and your PC's player app support jacket pictures? Not all do.
The Denon does read jacket pictures and is configured to do so. Not sure about Windows Media Player 11.
Yeah, I can figure out how to make the pictures manually. But it's disappointing that Sony failed to do a proper regression test. What is the best way to report the bug?
