This would be to increase the amount of printed area on the disc from
the default position which would give you a tiny bit more picture. The inner circle is the hub and default is 43mm dia. This leaves some extra printable space that leaves a white margin. If you change the size to 38mm "custom" it uses most of this margin. Same on the outside diameter when you change it from 116mm to 117 mm. A message comes up saying that you must let the ink dry for 24 hrs after you print
past this edge in the center or the spindle will hit the ink but I really don't think the spindle is that wide unless it varies with different burners and players. If I'm not mistaken you have an Epson DVD printer. If I am mistaken I'm really mistaken.
