Jerky DVD's

On occassion I have burned DVD's of my own Vegas productions that have jerks or stutters in the video and audio that occur about every minute. My software is on my C drive, but all of my files for the project on external drives. Furthermore, I shut down all start-up programs including my firewall and anti-virus programs before rendering or burning files. Would I be correct in saying that a possible cause for the problem is that I should burn the project to disc at a slower speed? Anyone else out there ever have this problem?

If your prepared project files are ok it could be a data transfer problem between your external drive and dvd burner.

Easiest way to find out would be to copy the project folder to your C drive and burn from there (tip: use a rewritable dvd)
