Jittery motion after render in Main concept

I noticed at times when a clip is rendered in Main Concept the video skips or is jittery at times. Fields are all set correctly. This happens when using the DVD presets. I never encountered that problem with any other encoder & I'm going to have to switch back to the Ligos encoder if nobody has an explaination for this. I've wasted enough dvd-r's over this issue. First it was overcoming washed out colors now this. Was this encoder tested before added to vegas. Sure the picture quality is great but jittery video & washed out colors don't cut it.

I'm no expert here but the first time I rendered using the DVD NTSC settings I also thought the video was washed out and jittery. The washed out picture can be greatly improved by using the "levels" filter with the following settings: input.063, end:.922, output:0,end 1, gamma 1. Apply this filter to the whole clip, then render.

Your jittering might be caused by improper DMA settings. I found that I could not achieve smooth playback, or synchronized sound in windows media player, but that without changing anything on my computer I could get perfectly smooth playback using a DVD program that can play mpeg2 files, in this case Intervideo WinDVD.

Maybe this isn't what is causing your problem, but I have not seen any other postings here about jittery issues being caused by the encoder...

I, too, have encountered these jitters. They happened to me when SVCD encoding a slow motioned scene. When rendering to AVI (back to DV camera), there were no jitters!
